Effective Agitation Management: It Takes a Team

Date & Time: August 26th,  9am PT/10am MT/11am CT/12pm ET

About the webinar: With increased rates of agitation and workplace violence (WPV) in emergency settings, there is an urgent need for effectively identifying and addressing patient and visitor agitation before it erupts into violence. During this webinar, Drs. Andrew Coulter & Priyanka Amin will discuss strategies to effectively train multidisciplinary teams on agitation management, including: 1) how to obtain buy-in for agitation/WPV trainings and interventions, 2) considerations for de-escalation training models, and 3) the role of forcing functions in assisting providers with agitation pharmacology.

Webinar format: AAEP webinar moderators will kick off each session with a 10-15 minute introduction to the topic. The remainder of the session time is dedicated to open group discussion, allowing for deeper exploration and exchange of insights.
